Thank you for visiting this page. You probably got here by clicking on a link on one of my websites, or an internet forum where I have posted. I hope I provided some useful information on that page, and I hope you can return the favor with a few minutes of your time.

I am a member of Christ Lutheran Church on Capitol Hill, a Lutheran congregation in St. Paul, Minnesota. Our building is located near the Minnesota State Capitol, hence our name. But our area is also residential, and is composed mostly of lower income families, many of whom are immigrants and refugees. We have consciously decided over the years that we are called to serve the needs of the people in our neighborhood, both spiritual and material. And we have found that this calling is not a burden, but rather a blessing. We have grown and prospered, with an extremely diverse membership from all over the world.

We have been blessed with our hundred year old building in the heart of the city, and it is remarkably well maintained. But there is always more that can be done.

We are excited that we were chosen as a finalist in a contest being conducted by Partners in Preservation, in which American Express and the National Trust for Historic Preservation will give away a million dollars in the Twin Cities in preservation grants. Those grants will be distributed based, in part, on voting by Facebook members. Voting takes only a few minutes, and we would appreciate if you would take a few minutes to cast a vote.

You can vote once per day, through October 12, 2011. To do so, follow these steps:
